The County Government of Mombasa has been awarded the Best county on Digital Innovation and leadership in the Africa CIO100 Awards 2021.

The CIO100 Africa Symposium and Awards 2021 has brought together 100 organizations that are using information technology in innovative ways to deliver business value, whether by creating competitive advantage, optimizing business processes, enabling growth, or improving relationships with customers.

The County Government of Mombasa was privileged to be part of the event at the Sarova, Whitesands Hotel thorough representation of the CECM-Education and ICT, Mr. Seth Odongo who gave the opening remark during the event, CECM for Transport, Infrastructure & Public Works Mr. Taufiq Balala, the County Chief Officer- ICT, Mr. Anwar Ahmed, Chief Officer Culture Ms. Aisha Abubakar, ICT staffs and ECDE Centre representatives.

Mr. Anwar Ahmed gave a presentation on the Early childhood Robotics Program which is indeed a great innovation within the County.

The Kadzandani ECDE Centre also showcased the Robotic Program. The delegates were amazed by this innovative program which introduces technology to learners at an early age. They are indeed the future digital generation living in the era of Artificial Intelligence.
